              What Is Good Mental Health?

Good mental health does not imply that you are always happy or that you never experience low moods or cloudy days. However, if anxiety, low mood, or other indicators of mental health problems are overbearing or difficult to deal with you are most likely not in a good mental health condition.

While each of us defines good mental health differently, it is commonly recognized to imply being able to think, feel, and behave in the ways that you need and desire to live your life as actively and freely as possible.

                      How To Have Good Mental Health? 

Do you like to have good mental health? Sometimes it would be more helpful if you could have a role model to see what people with good mental health have done? In other words, you can see them as a guideline to have good mental health. This article does not prescribe you a medicine to take to be 100 years old, but it recommends how to keep your mental health good even at 100 years old! Sounds good? Let's go! 





While Betty White was preparing to celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17, her interview with People was published on December 28, 2021. Sadly, we lost her on Christmas Eve, just less than a month before her 100th birthday! She generously talked about longevity. It must be hailed as a milestone in good mental health relations. 

1. She has a smiley face: Betty smiled, always. Try to have your smile, always. If you don't have it pretend to have a smiley face without feeling guilty! Besides, try to have a sense of humor to make others laugh. 

2. Optimistic: She tells I "born a cockeyed optimist". Being positive and trying to find positive things in each situation. Be Like your role model:  "I always find the positive." It is not just to see a full glass. It is far more than that. White's agent and friend, Jeff Witjas, also tells "Betty lives a life of happiness. She always thinks of others first, and she stays positive no matter what, even when I beat her at our favorite game of gin rummy!" It shows her strong character to find positivity in each situation.

3. She has optimistic thinking from her mom. She says "I got it from my mom, and that never changed". Try to prepare a positive environment for children. Mothers and fathers should be aware of their permanent gracious role models. You shouldn't carry your childhood issues on your shoulders and transfer them to your children. Try to treat your unsolved past mental issues, professionally, if you have.  

4. She celebrates every single of her life. Sandra Bullock also says White has celebrated each day of her life. It would be amazing if your friends and family knew you as somebody who celebrates every single of your life with charm, love, and calm. Then, your good feelings would lead you to have good health.

5. She thinks of others:  To have good mental health, doing something good for humanity and animals gives you a feeling of being useful, not useless. So it would give you a sense of pleasure in your existence in the world, also, belonging and being part of a group that needs your support.

6.  She chooses to be a joyful person: Ted Danson says she wakes up every day and chooses to be that way. If you choose to have good mental health, you will look for ways to be a bright lively vibrant person.
